Dios-con-nosotros   -   God-with-us

¡Feliz Navidad!  We wish you much joy as you celebrate the birth of our Savior, Emmanuel, God-with-us.
Here are some images from recent days, including the celebrations of the Novena to the Divino Niño, or Las Posadas.

palesDear Sisters of Notre Dame in Jinotega.

My name is Kristen Hartmann. I live in Germany and work for a Catholic volunteer programm, Leben und Lernen in Solidarität und Gemeinschaft (Living and Learning in Solidarity and Community). We cooperate with the SND sisters in Vechta/Coesfeld sending volunteers abroad for a year, including to the SND sisters in Buseesa, Uganda, and Indonesia. I have attached our brochure as an overview for you.

Currently we have a volunteer, Hannah Langkafel, in Nicaragua. For the first six months, she has been volunteering with the Franciscan sisters in San Pedro del Norte and is now looking for a change.
We came across you through the SND channel and also found your blog and became curious and would like to find out whether it might be possible for Hannah to join you for some time.

She could help out with whatever you need, simple tasks, but could also simply accompany you and see what you are doing in your project. It would provide her the opportunity to see something else, and if you are interested, perhaps she could even stay longer. She plans to be in Nicaragua until the end of August.
This would also strengthen our ties to the SND Family.
Brief info about Hannah: She is a motivated young woman, very pleasant. She speaks Spanish (good) and English (very good). She is interested in the spiritual life, having grown up and been active in the Lutheran church here in Germany.

If you're open to this idea, Hannah could visit you in the second or third week of February with out colleague, Lisa, and who will be visiting her. If this is too short notice, then we can make other arrangements. Then you can get a first impression and make further plans.

If you could let me know what you think of this idea, I would be very thankful.
Peace,
Kristen Hartmann
